FPS Appoints New President

Oil industry trade association FPS has inaugurated Nolan Fuel Oils Managing Director, Mark Nolan as their 30th President at the recent trade show FPS EXPO 2013. New Oil Regulations Take Effect At Commercial Premises

Specialist oil tank installer IandR Services, is warning commercial and industrial premises storing diesel fuel, heating oil or waste oils, to ensure they comply with new, transitional fuel oil storage regulations, which have recently come into effect in Northern Ireland. The new regulations are designed to bring fuel oil storage regulations in Northern Ireland into line with more onerous requirements elsewhere in the UK. Read More
FPS EXPO 2013... A Great Success!

As FPS EXPO closed its doors to visitors last month, the feedback from exhibitors and visitors was it was a great success with business being done and visitor numbers increasing by 7% on the previous year. OFTEC Positions Itself For The Future

HEATFed Secures BSI Representation

The Heating Engineers & Allied Trades Association has secured representation on behalf of heating engineers with the British Standards Institute (BSI). HeatFED will represent installers on BSI's RHE/13 committee. The committee is responsible for standards for oil burning equipment in the UK, as well as UK input to the work of oil related European CEN/TC committees. Read More
OFTEC Reports Increased Boiler Sales

The Oil Firing Technical Association (OFTEC) reports that the oil heating sector has benefited from a significant improvement in sales this year. Sales of oil boilers in the first quarter of 2013 increased by 22% compared with the first three months of last year, with sales at the end of 2012 also showing an improvement on the previous year.
