Farewell Wolseley, Hello BHT Group

Wolseley Ireland has announced that it is renaming itself BHT Group, reflecting the acquisition of Wolseley plc's Irish interests earlier this year.
In addition to underscoring the company's new found independence, the new brand encompasses the initial letter from the company's three main operating divisions - Brooks, Heat Merchants and Tubs & Tiles. Individual operating identities will however be retained, despite the new Group branding.
In January, Wolseley plc divested of its entire operating interests in the Republic of Ireland including the Heat Merchants, Brooks, Tubs and Tiles and Encon Ireland trading brands. The divestment also saw the sale of both Brooks' braches in the United Kingdom. At time of divestment, the combined businesses operated through a network of 65 branches in the Republic of Ireland, the 2 UK Brooks branches in Northern Ireland and employed approximately 650 people.
BHT Group's Heat Merchants business is a leading supplier of oil heating equipment to installers in the Irish market.
