WE Scott Triumph at H & V News Awards

8th July 2010

Lincolnshire plumbing and heating company W E Scott is celebrating after winning an award at the prestigious H&V News Awards ceremony, which took place in London last month.

The Lincolnshire-based company, which was established in 1892, beat the competition to win 'Rural Heating Installer of the year' category. The event, which was hosted by popular Outnumbered and Mock the Week star Hugh Dennis, celebrates the cream of the heating and ventilation industry.

Judges at the event heaped praise upon W.E. Scott, commenting that it was "the clear outright leader" and that its submission "hit all the buttons in terms of projects and results from new initiatives."

Ian Russell, Managing Director at W.E. Scott, said: "We are so pleased with our win. Being based in Lincolnshire many of our clients are based in the countryside so rural installations form a large part of our business. The business has built up its expertise in this area for over a century, so it is fantastic to be recognised for it."

Rural heating, is a key market for installers in the UK energy market. Across Great Britain 1.7 million homes and over 200,000 commercial premises are running 'off the grid' - located in rural, non-mains gas areas - and the awards category was created to celebrate excellence and innovation amongst the rural heating installer community.
