Alpeco launches New I-meter Promotion

29th January 2011

It is a sobering fact that despite historically high energy prices, approximately 80 % of Fuel Distributors don't have the simple and commonly available technology to know exactly what they are delivering, to whom, how much has been delivered, at exactly what time and the precise location of the delivery.

"In 2011, in the face of record oil prices, this is an appalling situation that contributes to major stock reconciliation errors that could prove extremely costly. After all, stock write-downs have never looked good on a balance sheet.", claims a spokesperson for fuel oil delivery equipment specialist, Alpeco.

The new, improved I-Meter system which is now available from Alpeco, connects to a calibrated flow meter onboard almost any fuel delivery vehicle. As the delivery vehicle makes its rounds, the I-Meter captures the electronic flow meter data, providing fault-free vehicle tracking in addition to full details of product deliveries. It then intuitively logs the information onto a map and grid, providing a feature not seen before in the petrochemical industry.

With the new I-Meter, distributors can see when, where and how much product has been delivered. The captured data can be viewed 24/7 on any computer, from anywhere in the world. Data collected can be used to ensure fuel stock locations match customer demands, see truck delivery areas and distance between deliveries. Above all, the new system is 100% tamper-proof.

Alpeco are so confident about the specification and performance of the latest I-meter product that they are currently offering to fit a unit free of any charge with all new orders for Alpeco truck systems incorporating the TE550 MK2 electronic register.
