Oilfiredup.com expands its Directory Service
4th July 2004
Oilfiredup.com - the leading web resource for the UK"s oil heating industry, has recently added a new "Regulations, Guidelines and Advice" section to its popular online oil heating directory.
According to an Oilfiredup.com"s Ian Smith "Throughout the United Kingdom, installers are increasingly having to contend with a myriad of oil heating regulations and requirements. Installation regulations and requirements exist for a reason - to protect oil heating installers, consumers and the wider environment. Therefore, Oilfiredup.com is naturally and unapologetically supportive of such initiatives."
"However, until now, there hasn"t been a single source that provides links to key installation regulations and requirements affecting the industry. With the addition of the "Regulations, Guidelines and Advice" section to Oilfiredup.com, that situation has at least been partially addressed."
"We"d be the first to admit that simply reading regulations does not in itself make anyone proficient in the installation and maintenance of oil heating and cooking systems." says Ian. "There is quite simply no substitute for effective training and practical experience. In that regard, we make no apologies for promoting and endorsing the importance of competent, professional, OFTEC registered heating technicians to the industry."
"However, it is hoped that the expansion of the website will complement existing online and offline resources and ultimately be of benefit to the many thousands of professional and competent oil heating technicians, who underpin the UK"s oil heating sector."
As a non-commercial, independent website, access to Oilfiredup.com is completely free. The "Regulations, Guidelines and Advice" section can be accessed by clicking the link below:
