Excellence In Oil Distribution To Be Celebrated

Oil Distribution Industry trade association FPS (Federation of Petroleum Suppliers) is beginning 2012 on a high announcing launch of the FPS 2012 Awards, Driver of the Year, Employee of the Year and the now in its second year the Service to Industry Award.
Celebrating its 12th year The FPS Driver of the Year award, which is sponsored by OAMPS, is always popular with FPS members. To win this award the FPS is looking for the best tanker driver amongst its members, the one that stands out amongst his or her peers in terms of effort or who has a great safety record, great customer service and who sets an example.
Sponsored by Reynolds Trade Credit, the FPS Employee of the Year award is open to anyone who is not a tanker driver - from cleaner to the accountant. The FPS is looking for a winner that adds that something special to a FPS member's business.
The winners of both of the Driver of the Year and Employee of the Year 2012 awards will take home £1000 each and two runners up in each award will receive £250 each. Closing date for entries for the Driver of the Year Award is 6 February 2012 and the closing date for the Employee of the Year Award is 20 February 2012.
The final award the FPS will be giving out on the night will be the FPS Service to Industry Award which was saw the first winner in 2011, retiring FPS Chief Executive Susan Hancock.
Aimed at finding an important player in the oil distribution industry, the FPS Service to Industry Award is being sponsored by Fuelpricesonline.com and will be presented to someone from the downstream industry who has worked closely within the industry over a number of years and made a specific contribution to the oil distribution sector. Nominations are invited from FPS members and entries should be forwarded to direct to Vanessa Cook at vc@fpsonline.co.uk by 20 February 2012.
