Danfoss Launches New Domestic Heat Pumps
10th July 2012
Following the launch of the DHP-AQ air source heat pump last year, Danfoss Heat Pumps UK has extended its range with a new model designed for smaller homes. The new DHP-AT range consists of two affordable heat pumps - 6kW and 8kW models, which the company claims are ideal for social housing properties or developments where a sustainable form of heating is required.
The DHP-AT air source units feature a compact, space-saving design and provide energy efficient space heating, hot water and cooling for smaller-scale properties.
Chris Dale, Director of Danfoss Heat Pumps, explains, "We are expecting a huge amount of interest in our new DHP-AT range because they offer a very affordable domestic air source solution. Choosing from the DHP-AT range means enjoying the benefits of a highly efficient heating and hot water system, whilst also minimising carbon emissions."
The new energy efficient DHP-AT heat pump is claimed to work well in cold winter weather - down to -15oC - to deliver a consistently comfortable indoor environment and constant hot water. This is possible because state-of-the-art defrosting technology ensures the energy efficiency and full functionality of the heat pump even in low temperatures.
Like all Danfoss' heat pumps, the new DHP-AT consists of an outdoor unit, containing the heat pump and an indoor control panel. The DHP-AT range features a contemporary, stylish design which means it is a subtle addition to a building. It is also designed to perform at low noise levels, minimising any disturbance for property owners or their neighbours.
Danfoss Heat Pumps has extensive experience in the manufacture of heat pump systems for schools, community buildings, developers, local authorities, housing associations and self builders. The company has a recommended network of approved installers throughout the UK, which it supports with system design, technical support and training. DHP-AT has been developed by Danfoss in Scandinavia, a world leader in heat pump technology and is designed for quick and simple installation by a Danfoss-approved installer.
