Co. Down Home Damaged In Oil Tank Arson Attack

Two people have escaped injury, after arsonists targeted a domestic heating oil tank in the Claggan Gardens area of Dundonald, Co. Down. The arson attack occurred shortly before 3pm yesterday (Saturday) afternoon.
The tank and its contents were destroyed in the attack, which spread to the rear of a family home causing significant damage. Quick action by the Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service prevented the blaze spreading to adjoining properties.
Police have yet to reveal a motive for the attack and anyone with any information, is asked to contact Crimestoppers or their local Police station.
