Pace Fuelcare Unveils New Ipswich Depot
26th July 2012
On Tuesday 24th July 2012, a brand new Pace Fuelcare depot was officially opened in Ransomes Business Park in Ipswich, ensuring a reliable supply of quality fuel for commercial, agricultural and domestic customers across South East Anglia.
Ipswich MP, Ben Gummer, together with the Mayor of Ipswich, Councillor Mary Blake, and key representatives from Pace Fuelcare's parent company, DCC plc's GB Oils, including Sam Chambers, Chairman, Paul Williams, Director, Simon Willis, General Manager, and Keith Durrant, Regional Manager, took part in a ribbon cutting ceremony to officially unveil the new oil terminal and declare it open for business.
Over £2 million has been invested in the state-of-the-art depot, which offers a range of modern facilities to its customers, including the latest tank gauging systems and safety features, as well as a comprehensive choice of quality fuel and lubricants.
The new depot will play a key role in the region by providing a supply of high quality fuel to the local farming community, commercial industry and domestic customers. It will also support the creation of up to 25 jobs in the area, and a further 30 jobs within the finance, marketing, health and safety, supplies and transport divisions of GB Oils.
Simon Willis, General Manager for Pace Fuelcare, says "The opening of the new depot highlights our commitment to support customers and businesses across the region, both in terms of fuel delivery and through business contracts with local suppliers in the immediate area. Following the closure of the Vopak Terminal two years ago, the new depot will be the only fuel terminal servicing South East Anglia, providing customers with a secure supply and dependable delivery of fuel.
"At Pace Fuelcare, we pride ourselves on our friendly and bespoke service and reliable oil deliveries so businesses can be assured the fuel will be supplied on time, every time."
The opening of the depot will also create a number of new sales vacancies. For candidates interested in applying to work for Pace Fuelcare there will be an open morning at the depot, to learn more about the business, on Thursday 2nd August 2012 from 09.00am to 12.00 noon. Anyone interested in attending the open day, or requiring further information, please contact Lorraine Brown on 01473 237 910.
