Successful Co. Londonderry Trade Information Day
16th January 2009
Installers and technicians from across Northern Ireland recently attended the most recent Trade Information Day, held at the prestigious Raddison Roe Valley Resort in Limavady, Co. Londonderry.
The event was organised by leading plumbing and heating equipment suppliers including Myson, John Guest Speedfit, Sentinel, Heatrae Sadia, Wilo, Ferroli UK, Santon and Aqualisa. Flying the flag for the oil heating sector was Sam McClurken, Northern Ireland Area Sales Manager for Clarehill Plastics Limited – manufacturers and distributors of Harlequin oil storage tanks and Harlequin Ultra gauging systems.
According to Sam ‘The event attracted architects, specifiers, consultants and technicians from across Counties Antrim, Tyrone and Londonderry and further afield too. There was considerable interest not only in the many new products on display, but also in new and proposed installation requirements and the ever-changing regulations in which the industry operates.’
‘On the Harlequin stand there were plenty of enquiries specifically about bunded tanks and of course the new Harlequin Ultra electronic tank gauge. And of course, a range of more general queries and questions over tank installation requirements and procedures.’
‘It’s fair to say that installers are increasingly recognising the importance of environmentally responsible fuel storage and appreciate the important role that bunded tanks can play in minimising the impact of oil upon the environment. ’ added Sam.
Trade Information Days are organised by some of Northern Ireland’s leading plumbing and heating equipment suppliers and are designed to enable local installers, technicians, architects and specifiers to catch up with the latest developments within the industry.
The Limavady event built upon the success of previous events held during 2003 in Londonderry and Belfast. Further events are planned for 2004 across Northern Ireland.
