Harlequin's Justin is 1 in Ten Thousand!

Justin Guiney, an apprentice with Clarehill Plastics Limited, manufacturers of Harlequin Oil Tanks has been recognised at Northern Ireland's Apprentice of the Year Awards. Justin was shortlisted for the Apprentice of the Year Award, held recently at a glittering ceremony at Belfast's prestigious Europa Hotel. Justin, 20, is following an Apprenticeship in Polymer Processing and is employed by Clarehill Plastics Limited in Moira. Read More
Polluter pays the price for Oil Pollution

Plastic bottle recycling company AWS Eco Plastics has been fined a total of £19,500 and ordered to pay full Environment Agency costs of £8,447 for twice polluting a dyke with oil at Hemswell Cliff, Gainsborough. The dyke was in a protected zone for drinking water abstracted by Anglian Water. Read More

Oil still the Cheaper Choice, says OFTEC

Oil heating is still a cheaper choice for off gas main households, according to the latest independent figures. The Sutherland Tables show that the cost of heating an average three bedroom home with an oil condensing boiler works out at £996 per annum. That's 31% cheaper than an LPG condensing boiler which costs £1454 per annum to run. Read More
